Vishing is a voice phone call, usually using a fake caller ID or blocked caller ID, where the caller is trying to get personal information- usually financial- from the recipient. Scammers may pretend to be a computer company, noting that they see a problem with your computer that they can fix. They may pretend to be a bank, or an attorney, or even a government agency trying to collect funds; they threaten consequences if you don't work with them right now.
